From: the bottom of Whitehole Hill
To: Hittits Bridge
It starts at the bottom of Whitehole Hill at a point nearly opposite footpath 8/1, west of Hurdlestone Wood, and runs in a north easterly direction across footpath 8/6 to Hittits Bridge where it continues as footpath 8/8a.
Rail stile and rough stepping stones at Hittits Bridge, and path is very boggy.
This footpath is well worth walking as it crosses the stream from a "tufa spring" before continuing in unspoilt meadows alongside the Mells stream.
Mendip District Council have recently erected a fine wooden bridge/walkway over the boggy area below the tufa cascades allowing walkers an excellent view of this feature.
