The Meeting was opened by the current chair S. Vaughan

Minutes of last year’s meeting were agreed and signed.

Annual Report and Accounts were presented to the meeting by SV and DP, these having been approved earlier by the committee. DP to make minor amendment re dates of 2013/4 quiz. DP noted Hall income still covering outgoings largely thanks to the hire rate increase from Jan 14. The biggest outlay in expenses was the re-varnishing of the floor in October.

In the Review of the Year Summary section of her Annual Report SV noted an increase in the number of maintenance jobs carried out by the committee that year and thanked those responsible for the work, with particular mention of the storage project undertaken by DP including the greatly improved access to the space under the stage. She pointed out how hirers have helped improve the Hall with suggestions which the committee has been pleased to act on and that this will continue going forward. Bookings were still good, both regular and occasional and there was a new Pilates class. Due to lack of success with “shows” in recent years the committee had not held any during the previous 12 months and had no immediate plans to do so in the future. However for the last 2 autumns there had been an extra quiz run for Hall funds and SV thanked the organiser of these. A mention of good weather for the village fair was corrected by DP, it had in fact been poor and this contributed to the lower pay-out. SV noted no change this year in the make up of the committee and thanked the members all for their different contributions.

Election of 2014/2015 Committee

AO, DM, DP, EB, GB, RO, BW and SV all agreed to stand again. We would appoint all officers at the next ordinary meeting as is the correct procedure for the AGM.

None raised but DM later reminded SV and committee that a £200 grant from the Parish Council had contributed to the cost of the floor re-varnishing for which we send our thanks.

The meeting was closed at 8.12pm.
