DRAFT Minutes of Meeting Held on 30th Nov 2015

Minutes of previous meeting were agreed and signed after existing officers had agreed to stand again.


Treasurer’s Report DP had paid the window cleaner and Chubb. He noted the financial analysis for the year not yet done but that income from bookings remained level and balances still healthy. 100 club draw results as follows: special Christmas prize Liz Robinson, December draw 1st Yvonne Hughes, 2nd Chris and Cathy Cudmore, 3rd Kim Bone.


Booking Clerk’s Report One off seasonal events helped make a full diary until the Christmas holidays started. However Burlesque had stopped, at least in the short term. Invoices were outstanding for this and the committee agreed we must ask for payment in advance if it resumed.


Correspondence  None received.


Maintenance 1) No further contact received re dishwasher. 2) Committee inspected floors etc. in disabled and gents toilets. Flooring itself not too bad but a plumbing problem in disabled toilet needs attention followed by replacement of skirting. No decision on gents, possibly just an extra clean? 3) RO presented his revision of fire safety doc, a bullet point version will go out with hiring documents. RO also to do a simple eye catching notice to display in Hall. Review needs doing annually. It was also noted that all our safety tests, lighting, fire safety, smoke alarm etc., need to be logged and carried out when due at monthly meetings. 4) DP had prepared folder with list of stored items and their locations and plans of the water system both inside and outside the Hall. No decision on where to store this or log book for tests, to discuss at Jan meeting.5) DP work re improving shutting mechanism of gate to children’s play area still o/s, storage work now complete. 6) SV to buy extra mop and bucket for small jobs. 7) SV noted chair shed needs preservative, to look at in the spring. 8) Smoke alarm tested, OK.


Fund raising RO reported Hall running raffle/programme stall as before but position may be changed so visitors need to go through our tent.alH


AOB 1) EB asked if any info on dog poo bin location, none received. 2) DP noted the tall ladder very unsteady, committee agreed he could buy a new one. 3) SV to buy gold or silver string for Xmas decs.



Date of next meeting  Monday 4th January at 8.00pm, followed by taking down the decorations.
