Minutes of Meeting Held on 4th September 2017

Minutes of previous meeting were agreed and signed
Treasurer’s Report Various bills had been paid including those for insurance, electricity and Mrs R. The 100 club draw results were as follows: 1st Jan Horn, 2nd Sue Moore and 3rd Clive and Gill Baker.
Correspondence 1) SV had received 2 editions of a Newsletter from the Community Council for Somerset, both covering the forthcoming AGM and training day plus details of submitting names for the Trustee of the Year award. SV felt the committee worked well as a team which meant she found it hard to pick out one person to nominate but said if anyone felt they would like to nominate a committee member she would be happy to pass on details of how to apply. 2) SV had put a letter on a car which had been in the Hall car park for some months asking the owner to remove it and this has now been done. Earlier another car had been removed following a notice being put on it.
1) Checked and found no spare exterior paint in Hall loft, committee to consider need for buying more to re-paint outside of building or to ask local painter for a quote, could be left to spring. 2) DM had e mailed to say having trouble getting Martin Miller to quote for LED replacements for strip lights and agreed to try another electrician. 3) SV had done some lopping of overhanging tree branches in the car park but asked the committee to check, when light, if more major work needed. 4) RO had done further work on the table tennis tables and had agreed with Ty Schlechter that this is now sufficient for them to be used at least for the time being. 5) SV had weed killed the car park 6) DP had carried out various work on the front door following more problems with the lock. He had also obtained and fitted new handles, the old ones being part of the problem and the lock is now working well. 7) SV had arranged the PAT procedure with Martin Miller and this had been completed.

AOB. 1) AO suggested session of cleaning and repairing upholstered chairs and cleaning the tables, date fixed for Sat 4th Nov at 10am. 2) DP gave SV insurance certificate to laminate before putting on noticeboard. 3) EB gave SV Toddler group poster to put in exterior noticeboard, which includes note to say will be looking for replacement to head the group. 4) SV arranged AGM for 8pm on Mon 6th November, preceded by committee meeting at 7.30pm. SV will advise website and parish mag.
Date of next meeting 8.00pm Wed 11th October, COMMITTEE PLEASE NOTE CHANGE OF USUAL DAY AND DATE DUE TO MEMBERS’ ABSENCE AND CLASH OF BOOKINGS.
