Leigh on Mendip Memorial Hall Committee
DRAFT Minutes of Meeting held on 4th Nov 2019

Minutes of previous meeting were agreed and signed.
Treasurer’s Report. In September the electricity bill had been paid and in October that for the cleaning. SV gave in an expense claim for various items including the paint which we will keep in reserve until able to use it and the new bin for the kitchen. Two 100 club draws as follows. Sept 1st Daniel and Collette Mears, 2nd Jan Horn and 3rd June Brewster. Oct 1st Denis Pattison, 2nd Liz Robinson and 3rd Tom Rodford.
Correspondence 1) SV had received an e mail from Somerset CC saying they had inspected the trees in Bellfield adjacent to the Hall and judged they did not require any work. 2) SV also had an e mail from Dave Mattick who had completed an Emergency Services Data Sheet for us plus a list of both committee and local service numbers for hirers in the case of an emergency. SV to print these off separately and laminate them with a view to displaying them in the Hall, location to be decided at Dec meeting.
1) RO had brought and erected the new noticeboard. There were 4 keys available, one for each of the official key holders. SV took a copy of the invoice which she will give with an accompanying letter to Russell, 1, Bellfield, who accidentally knocked the old one down, in the hope he will re-imburse us for at least part of the cost if not all.
2) The defunct heater in the meeting room had been replaced by the one from the small storeroom by Dave Mattick and Denis Pattison and seemed to be working OK. The broken one was to be left in the storeroom for now. 3) SV had noticed there was still mould behind the trays in the kitchen but RO explained the anti mould treatment he had used did not remove the stain and he would paint over it at some point to cover this. 4) SV updated those of the committee not present at the recent extra meeting concerning the leak from the roof into the main Hall.
Fund raising None discussed.
AOB. It was noted the usual first Monday for Hall meetings clashed with the WI Christmas meal in December so the committee agreed to meet on the Wednesday instead.
Date of next meeting Wednesday 4th December at 8pm followed by putting up the Christmas decorations.
