Minutes of previous meeting were agreed and signed.

Treasurerís Report DP said there had been no significant activity to report on since the last meeting. The yearly accounts had been checked and passed by King Watkins as usual and SV asked the committee to vote to approve both these and the Chairís Annual Report, sent to them earlier by email, which they then did. †100 club results:- 1st Des and Wendy Worley, 2nd Jan Horn and 3rd Alan Dagger.

Booking Clerksí Report Unfortunately we were just a few days away from the second Covid lockdown and so were having to close the Hall again. This was particularly disappointing as it could be seen from the report that bookings had improved with some one off events booked in addition to the yoga, Tai Chi and bowls which had been running for a few weeks. In addition some small WI socials were being considered and Pilates, WI and Active Living Centre groups were all planning for the future. Hopefully from these promising signs our bookings will eventually get back to a good level. RO noted we had received £537 from the school for their hiring period.

Correspondence None received

Roof, as far as we know this work is still planned to go ahead later in the month. †No other issues reported.

Fund raising

None discussed, not relevant in the circumstances. The £10,000 grant will fortunately cover our expenses for a good period.

1) DPís daughter had created a new logo for the Hall which the committee agreed was worth developing with a view to using on letters and other documents. 2) DP had registered the Hall with the Amazon Smile scheme so any purchases made through it can credit us with a small percentage of the value. He said there were some issues signing up for this and would send anyone interested the appropriate information to do so 3) DP asked EB to let him know how much we owed her for the cleaning.

2) EB requested the purchase of some toilet brushes. It was agreed she would do a last major clean after the last current booking and then no more until just before we re-open.

3) SV asked VT if there had been any developments re the proposed new houses. Evidently the Somerset quarries regularity body had not been consulted at all and has now put in a strong objection to the scheme in view of the existence of both current and out of use but non dormant quarries in close proximity to the proposed site.

Date of next meeting †Monday 7th December at 8pm, either by zoom or in the Hall. If the latter and there are relevant bookings before Christmas we will also put up the decorations.
