RECREATION FIELD LEASE
Following lengthy discussions and in view of the complications of a lease, which would satisfy the requirements of the Recreation Field Committee, the Charity Commissioners and the Parish Council, it was decided that a solicitor should be appointed.
It was proposed and all agreed that the term of the lease will be 30 years, and with the advice of the Solicitors, the guidelines of the Charity Commissioners would be followed, with the agreement of the Parish Council and the Recreation Field Committee. Advice would also be sought with regard to the Lease and the Constitution being treated as separate documents.
Subsequent discussion of the Recreation Field Committee determined that they would take care of the Constitution in co-operation with the Charity Commission.
It was agreed that John Wright on behalf of the Parish Council, and Vicky Higgins, on behalf of the Recreation Field Committee, would attend the Solicitors, FDC Law as soon as possible.
It was also proposed, and all agreed, that FDC Law also be appointed to apply for the application to register the Recreation Field and the Memorial Hall land with the Land Registry
It was proposed, and all agreed that the Parish Council would pay for all the costs of the Solicitor and Land Registry charges.
The meeting closed at 8.15 p.m.
