LEIGH ON MENDIP PARISH COUNCIL MEETING

held on 15th May 2012

 at 7.30pm in the Memorial Hall

 

 

Councillors Present: I Barnes (IB), A Dagger (AD) and B Wigmore (BW).

In attendance: S Vaillant (SV; Clerk) and P Ham (PH; in part), District Councillor.

In the absence of CC, AD proposed (IB seconded) for BW to chair the meeting.

Planning

 

3.1

Planning Application 2012/0715; Long Cottage, Tadhill; Single Storey Extension – After review of the plans, AD proposed (IB seconded, all agreed) to recommend approval for the following reasons:-

·      There will be no impact on neighbours and no objections or comments have been received;

·      The changes result from practical needs;

·      The proposed materials to be used are similar to that of the existing building, which will retain its general aesthetic aspect.

Planning Application 2012/0886; Hollybush Cottage, Knapp Hill; Two Storey Side and Rear Extensions and associated Alterations – After review of the plans IB proposed (AD seconded, all agreed) to recommend approval as there will be no impact on neighbours and no objections or comments have been received by the council.

 

 

 

 

3.3

Planning Application 2012/0928; Mendip Masons; Leigh Street – Removal of Condition 2 of Permission 060099/007 which restricts the use of the premises to the applicant – IB proposed (AD seconded, all agreed) to advise MDC that the PC has no objection to the removal of Condition 2 of permission 060099/007; however, we would like it confirmed that there will be no operational changes on site (specifically working hours and nature of business authorised if applicable).

The Annual Parish Council Meeting  and Annual Parish Meeting will be held on 21st May 2012, at 7.30pm and 8pm respectively in the Memorial Hall.
