The Church Choir, although having many members from the village, is not actually ‘the’ Leigh-on-Mendip Church Choir. It has members from Leigh on Mendip and the surrounding villages and also performs at Stoke St Michael and Downhead churches. They have been together as a choir since 2000 and are growing in stature and numbers. They would like to hear from any ‘singer’ who would like to join, what is fast becoming a very professional outfit under the auspices of Simon Francis. Practice is normally on Thursday evening between 7.30 & 9pm at either St Giles (Leigh-on-Mendip) or St Michaels (Stoke St Michael). Simon can be contacted on 01749-840260.
