Parked cars prevent the mechanical road sweeper from cleaning the gutters
Solution
The sweeper is now only visiting “if required”. Contact the Parish Council if you notice the streets need cleaning. The dates will be advertised on Events, the village Facebook and in the Telephone Box.
Contact will be made with the contractors (Idverde) to confirm the sweeping time and day (if possible the sweep will be between 9.00am and 4.00pm, when most cars have left for work with their drivers)
The contractors are providing leaflets to deliver to the village.
A number of individuals and organisations are working together to overcome this problem, but it relies on everyone making the effort to keep the streets clear whilst the sweeper is visiting
