For those who haven’t been to a Race Night before we have videos of 8 races of 8 horses, chosen at random, which you won’t have seen or remembered, with an entertaining commentary.
There is a local sponsor for each race.
YOU can own a horse & jockey for just £15, with a cash prize of £60 for the winning horse.
On the night bets are just £1 each. Cash winnings. Entrance is £3 on the night. CASH payments are preferred on the night.

Friends of Leigh Church are organising this event to raise funds for urgent repairs to our Grade I church’s windows, parapets and gulleys (see below).

Friends of Leigh Church are organising this event to raise funds for urgent repairs to our Grade I church’s windows, parapets and gulleys.
Gulley repairs: The gulley around the church drains rainwater to soakaways but only part of the gulley was repaired during the recent 2017/2019 works so water still penetrates the building below ground level. The planned work will repair this remaining section of gulley.
Window repairs: All high-level windows were repaired during the 2017/2019 works but only one of the ground floor windows completed. The planned work will repair the remaining ground level windows, repairing glazing, stonework and ferramenta as necessary.
Parapet repairs: The nave and chancel roof parapets were repaired during the recent works and the planned work will repair and stabilise the aisle roof and porch parapets. There are also several cracks that will be addressed and several areas where pointing will be replaced or repaired.
