St Giles, Leigh on Mendip and All Saints, Downhead are part of a group of parishes that include: Stoke St Michael and Postlebury (Nunney, Cloford, Marston, Wanstrow and Witham Friary). Holy Communion is celebrated at St Giles on the first Sunday of each month at 11a.m. There is a service of Evensong at All Saints, Downhead on the 3rd Sunday of the month (6 p.m. in Summer months, 4p.m. in winter months).
For Festivals, Fifth Sunday and Services at all churches in the group see the notice in the Church Porch and this month’s Church Services.

GREAT NEWS ! Following the recent interviews and the recommendation of the Parish representatives, we are pleased to announce that the Bishop has appointed the Reverend Keith Johnson to the post of Priest in Charge of the Benefices of Leigh upon Mendip with Stoke St Michael and of Postlebury.
The licensing of Revd. Keith Johnson as Priest in Charge of our benefices, by the Bishop of Bath and Wells will be held on at 7:00pm on Thursday 16th October at Nunney Church. Congregation members are all welcome to attend. Please RSVP to postleburysecretary@gmail.com by 5th October at the latest. There will be a reception afterwards in Nunney Village Hall.
We look forward to welcoming Keith and Rachel amongst us. The attached video was filmed by Caroline Pomeroy in a rushed ten minutes interlude when our new incumbent brought his wife, Rachel to see the Rectory and parish (she liked it). Reverend Keith had no time to prepare and has mispronounced Leigh and apologises for that.
A team of people – lay and ordained – will provide continuity of care and spiritual support until the new vicar is in post. Our administrator, Claire, or any of the churchwardens can help you contact the right person.
